Mohit Suri directed Saiyaara has changed the lives of debutants- Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda. The romantic movie has been receiving love from all sections and has broken box office records. For the unversed, Ahaan is the nephew of Bollywood actor, Chunky Panday while Ananaya Panday is his cousin sister. Now, a while ago, rumours were doing the rounds that Aneet bagged Saiyaara due to her connection in the industry and is related to Nitya Mehra.
Aneet Padda is not at all related to Nitya Mehra
For the unversed, Nitya is best known for helming the movie, Baar Baar Dekho. Now, there was a post on Reddit that claimed that Aneet is the daughter of filmmaker, Nitya and the post was titled as, ”Aneet Padda Nepo Kid’. It claimed that she was the daughter of Nitya and Karan Kapadia and accused the actress of being born with connections. Now, a fact-check report by ETimes recently shared that the claims made in the report were totally false. The report stated that Nitya and Karan are already parents to a child who was born in 2019.
On the other hand, Aneet was born on October 14, 2022. The confusion was caused among netizens as Aneet called the pair her ‘Bombay parents’ when she was shooting for ‘Big Girls Don’t Cry’. The series on Amazon Prime Video was directed by Karan Kapadia, while Nitya, on the other side, had produced the series. Both of them were like Aneet’s supporting anchors when the series was being shot. However, they are not her biological parents.
Who are Aneet Padda’s parents?
According to a report by the OneIndia, Aneet comes from Amritsar and belongs to a middle class family. She went to Spring Dale Senior School and then to Jesus and Mary College in Delhi. It was in college that she started modelling. Aneet’s parents reportedly like to stay away from the media glare, and not much is told about them on social media. However, Aneet’s mom always supported the dreams of her daughter since the start of her career. Before Aneet got Saiyaara, she was seen in a few commercials and also had a small part in Kajol’s movie, Salaam Venky. It was in 2024 that Aneet made her debut with Big Girls Don’t Cry in the OTT space.
Aneet Padda’s Saiyaara to have an OTT release
There have been reports doing the rounds that Aneet will next be seen in Nitya Mehra’s Nyaya. Nitya and her husband, Karan, reportedly have directed the project. While her fans are happy with the theatrical release of Saiyaara, they are not so convinced about the actress moving to the OTT space. Now, reports were doing the rounds related to Saiyaara having an OTT release. A source close to Hindustan Times shared:
“Aneet is a big screen heroine for YRF. Nyaya was shot before she signed Saiyaara and it has no bearing on her career trajectory as a theatrical heroine going forward. A girl who is delivering probably a Rs.. 400 crore hit in theatres, is a true Gen Z star at the age of just 22, will be preserved for theatricals. There are huge plans to make her the face of a generation and that can be achieved only by consolidating her theatrical equity.”
