Ayan Mukerji’s much-awaited action thriller ‘War 2’ promises to be a high-octane spectacle, loaded with breathtaking visuals and adrenaline-fueled moments. Featuring Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR, the film has already built major anticipation, especially for the duo’s intense face-off. Jr NTR, making his much-anticipated Bollywood debut, is reportedly the highest-paid star in the film.
Trade sources tell India Today that the ‘RRR’ actor has received between Rs 75-77 crore as his acting fee for ‘War 2’. This is the highest fee a South actor has got to mark his debut in the YRF franchise.
Other than this, buzz is that Hritik Roshan has taken a post-release deal that includes profit-sharing revenue similar to what Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan had taken with their previous YRF films.
As per various media reports, Kiara Advani is believed to have received Rs 15 crore for her role.
Alongside NTR and Hrithik, the rest of the cast and the director have also secured impressive pay cheque.
‘War 2’ marks Ayan Mukerji’s fourth directorial outing after ‘Wake Up Sid’, ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’, and ‘Brahmastra Part One – Shiva’. Despite a brief filmography, Ayan has become one of the industry’s most talked-about directors, celebrated for his visionary storytelling and unique style.
The earlier-released trailer of the film starts with Hrithik’s voiceover, vowing to give up his work, his name, and even his identity – to become a shadow. The promo further follows an explosive clash between him and Jr NTR. The visuals also depict Kiara’s romance as well as hand-to-hand combat with Hrithik.
‘War 2’ is directed by Ayan Mukerji and produced by Aditya Chopra. The film is scheduled for a theatrical release on Independence Day, August 14.
