Mohit Suri’s Saiyaara, featuring debutants Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, has been a blockbuster hit. One of the main credits for the film goes to music composer, Tanishk Bagchi, for whom the movie was the turning point in his life. It has been a process for him, marked by years of dedication, patience, and suffering. Tanishk rightly reveals that God has blessed him with music, and it is his responsibility to take it ahead. Now, Tanishk, in an exclusive interview with BollywoodShaadis, revealed whether music composers in the industry have got their due credits.
Tanishk Bagchi reveals if music composers have got their due credits in today’s times
Tanishk sat down for an interview with BollywoodShaadis and revealed that whether he does bhajan, kirtan everything is an art. He puts in hard work and loves music, as it is his passion. Whether it is recreation or original, making music is a part of his job. However, he did admit that his biggest frustration as a music director like him, or his dad, is not getting the credit that is needed. In his words:
“People are seeing Tanishk Bagchi making the song Saiyaara a hit. Tanishk Bagchi has been in the industry for the past 15 years. I have given so many hits. Whether it is with SRK sir, Aamir sir, nobody thinks about how I created it. They only look through the actors, directors, and people who promote them who are social. People like us are not that social. We don’t go out bragging about our work.”
Tanishk Bagchi reveals he does not like to beat drums about his creation
The Saiyaara music composer stated that his father was an amazing musician who had struggled in life. He couldn’t do anything with his life. However, Tanishk feels that through him, his dad got an achievement. He feels that he is not a big music director, but rather just developing the skills from his parents and taking them forward. Tanishk shared that director, Mohit Suri, ensures the promotion of music composers and does as much as he can. Tanishk shared how production houses don’t care as they pay buy the music, it becomes a hit, and then the next film. In his words:
“I make a song and don’t go beating the drums saying I have done it. That is not the kind of person I am, because we often think that we have done so much hard work, but there is no credit for it. We don’t have names in the poster either when it is promoted. On our Instagram, if you see, we post pictures of the film. Promoting the film, and nobody is promoting the music composers.”
Tanishk did share of feeling bad that after putting in hardwork, he does not get the credit and finds it a rare feat that a music composer is credited. He feels that he is able to create music because of his dad and mom’s energy and shared that the most turning point in his life was, in his words:
“When I first decided I wanted to do music, and that is what I am made for. That is my turning point, it was in Calcutta and from that day till now, I have always remembered that moment when I actually thought in my mind that it is a big responsibility and I have to make it possible. There is no looking back, and even if I fall down, I have to stand on my own feet without any support. I did that, and I think that went ahead in my life. Love is not just a sacrifice, but also not just giving up.
