In a move that has left fans emotional and nostalgic, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai actress Garvita Sadhwani has officially confirmed her exit from the long-running Star Plus show. Garvita, who played the widely loved character Roohi Poddar, shared a deeply heartfelt note on her Instagram story, bringing closure to months of speculation about her absence following the show’s seven-year leap.

Since the leap, the storyline revealed Roohi was now settled in Japan along with her son Daksh — fulfilling the dream of her late husband Rohit. While fans had been holding out hope for her return, Garvita’s note has now laid all doubts to rest.
In her Instagram story, the actress wrote: “This is to confirm my exit from Yrkkh. Overwhelmed with all the love and acceptance you gave to Roohi W- a fictional character that felt so real. For 1.5 years, I gave my heart and soul trying to deliver the most honest performance possible.. this was the most wholesome learning curve, I have grown as an actor, as a person and I will forever be grateful for this magical journey.”
“For me Roohi was an emotion, as human and as grey as it gets but at the core of it she was just a child full of life, ALL HEART. I had my ups and downs with this character but I always saw Her as a dark tunnel but also the light at the end of the tunnel. Poetic, right?” she added.

Thank you my dearest fans for loving & relentlessly asking everyday for the last 2 months about my return… I am so touched.
