Salehe Bembury posted a photo of Tyrese Haliburton Thursday evening, and at first glance eyes may have been drawn to the NBA player’s massive boot and leg elevator as he recovers from a torn achilles. But once you’ve looked past that, you’ll find a whole bunch of new colorways of Haliburton’s first signature sneaker from Puma.

The Puma Hali 1 was shown in a whopping ten new colorways, almost all of which have been rendered in monochrome, just like the pink “Hibiscus” edition used to debut the sneaker. Draped across Haliburton’s legs in the photo are variants in cream, purple, blue, green and hot pink. He then holds a green and blue pair in his hands, while red-and-orange and green-and-yellow pairs can be seen on the ground next to him. Almost missable on a table at the bottom of the snap is a pink and blue version as well as one in red.

In his role at Puma, Bembury was tapped to recruit a basketball to design a signature sneaker for. That ended up being Haliburton, who debuted his forthcoming model during the NBA Finals in June. Detailed tech specifications are still to come for the Hali 1, but Puma has confirmed it’ll be lightweight and feature Nitro cushioning.

Before being forced out of Game 7 with his achilles injury, Haliburton was facing off against another player with his signature debut on the way, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and his Converse Shai 001.

Also to come from Bembury, away from Puma, is his New Balance 1000 Fog Be the Cloud.

The Puma Hali 1 Hibiscus will launch in September, and for the time being there’s no telling how many of the 10 additional colorways will actually release. Given that they’re samples, some may very well not end up going into production, but Footwear News will keep you abreast of any updates.
