The members took to their social media separately to pay their tributes, and it was Drummer, Bill Ward, who took the stage first. The Slack Sabbath drummer recalled the countless memories they have shared and expressed his heartbreak over losing Ozzy. He shared that Ozzy would always be in his heart and shared his condolences with his family. He was quoted as saying:
“Where will I find you now? In the memories, our unspoken embraces, our missed phone calls, no, you’re forever in my heart. Deepest condolences to Sharon and all family members. RIP. Sincere regrets to all the fans. Never goodbye. Thank you forever.”
Geezer Butler thanked Ozzy Osbourne for all the years together
The note was followed by a heartfelt tribute by Black Sabbath’s bassist and lyricist, Geezer Butler. The musician issued a statement paying his respects to the departed. He thanked Ozzy Osbourne for the years they had spent together. He also reflected on how they were just four kids from Aston and expressed his gratitude that they got to do that again for one last time. He was quoted as saying:
“Goodbye, dear friend- thanks for all those years- we had some great fun. 4 kids from Aston- who’d have thought, eh? So glad we got to do it one last time, back in Aston.”
For the unversed, it was earlier this month when Black Sabbath took the stage for the last time. The band performed one last show on July 5, 2025, in Aston, Birmingham. The concert marked the final solo and group performance of Ozzy Osbourne’s career. However, little did the bandmates know, it would be for reasons they could not have imagined. The musicians have curated a special four-song set for the show, which includes War Pigs, N.I.B., Iron Man, and Paranoid. Ozzy has also performed his solo skit right before the grand reunion, which included songs like Crazy Train and Mama, I’m Coming Home.

Guitarist, Tony Iommi took to his social media account and shared how heartbroken he was about his friend, Ozzy Osbourne’s passing. The musician shared how he couldn’t believe that his friend was gone. He added that the Black Sabbath trio had lost a member and paid their condolences to Ozzy’s family. He was quoted as saying:
“I just can’t believe it! My dear, dear friend Ozzy has passed away only weeks after our show at Villa Park. It’s just such heartbreaking news that I can’t really find the words, there won’t ever be another like him. Geezer, Bill and myself have lost our brother. My thoughts go out to Sharon and all the Osbourne family. Rest in peace Oz.”
