“Men, I may not know. But shoes, shoes I know,” Carrie Bradshaw, played by Sarah Jessica Parker, once said to a Vogue editor in “Sex and the City.” The iconic fashion-savvy writer may have gone through many changes since the 1998 inception of the original show, but the reboot series “And Just Like That,” which is currently in its third season, makes it clear that her ardent love of shoes remains the same.
So just what is en vogue this season for the columnist-turned-novelist, as she only explores a new type of writing, hangs out with besties new and old, and continues to explore a romance with ex-fiancé Aidan Shaw, played by John Corbett? When it comes to footwear, she is historically associated with Manolo Blahnik and Jimmy Choo — “I lost my Choo!” — but this season truly showcases a wide breadth of designers.
Parker, as Bradshaw, has been outfitted by costume designers Molly Rogers and Danny Santiago in a slew of luxury footwear looks, from René Caovilla to Aquazzura, which was launched after the original “Sex and the City” ended. There’s even a glamorous shoe montage in the fifth episode, featuring everything from bright glossy slingbacks to fresh white boots, a scene which proves how her love of heels leads to a noise complaint from a neighbor. And it wouldn’t be the first time Carrie’s passion for fancy shoes — which she once called a “little substance abuse issue” — caused a tiff between her and another character.

Toward the beginning of the third season, Bradshaw is writing in her backyard on her own but still feeling dressy. She models a pink pair of bow-adorned pumps from Maison Margiela, the brand’s Tabi Monster style, which unfortunately gets run over by rats.

Carrie explored a bold color scheme with the help of custom yellow heels from Rene Caovilla, pairing them with a royal purple skirt and colorful bohemian top. The strappy sandals featured a sinuous accent wrapping around the stiletto heel.

Standing alongside Seema, both holding drinks from Arby’s, Carrie wears another colorful look, set off by bold footwear — this time, vintage Vivienne Westwood sandals with gladiator-like buckled horizontal straps across the foot and ankle.

Carrie’s shoes will often provide an extra pop of color to her ensembles. Pictured here, she wears yellow Aquazzura stiletto sandals featuring a playful spherical adornment at the toes. The shoes add a cheerful accent to her long, blush pink dress, featuring diagonal stripes.
