Bollywood actors Shraddha Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, and Varun Dhawan have praised the latest cinematic blockbuster ‘Saiyaara’. Directed by Mohit Suri, the film features debutants Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda. It has captured the hearts of audiences and critics alike, contributing to its successful box office run.
Kapoor, known for her collaboration with Mohit Suri in ‘Aashiqui 2’, expressed her admiration for the film on Instagram. She wrote, “Saiyaara se ‘Aashiqui’ ho gayi hai mujhe (I have fallen in love with Saiyaara) (sic)”, tagging the lead actors and the director. She also described the film as ‘pure magic’, noting, “Pure cinema, pure drama pure magic. Uff, bohot time baad itna emotion feel kiya hai (It’s been a long time since I felt this much emotion). (sic)”
Dhawan also shared his appreciation for emerging talent in the industry. He wrote, “Very rarely do you feel hung over after watching a film. The film has stayed with me, and I’m sure it will with all of us for years to come. @mohitsuri you are the best, you are a star (sic).”
Furthermore, the actor praised the debutants, noting their authenticity and emotional depth. He said, “@ahaanpandayy what can I say. You are so so good and so honest. Every scene you had me with you man. @aneetpadda_ your face just made all our hearts melt. So good. God bless you. Entire @yrf a leader in every way (sic).”
Singh joined the bandwagon and wrote, “‘Saiyaara’ is heartfelt. The very best of Mohit Suri. Congrats to my dear friends at YRF – Akshay, Sumana and Shanoo for an unprecedented feat. Ahaan and Aneet, you were special. A scintillating debut! God bless you and welcome to the movies! (sic).”
The film received positive feedback from other prominent names in the film industry. These included actors Alia Bhatt, Mahesh Babu, Anil Kapoor as well as film-maker Karan Johar.
‘Saiyaara’ released in cinemas on July 18. The film grossed Rs 100 crore within four days and is expected to shatter more box office records.
