Surveen Chawla brought effortless elegance and poetic nostalgia to the Mandala Murders trailer launch as she stepped out in a delicate handwoven linen sari from Anavila. Priced at Rs 32,000, the sari, aptly named the Oyster Printed Sari, blended softness, sophistication, and a subtle festive shimmer.

Surveen Chawla’s Rs 32,000 Anavila saree look for Mandala Murders trailer launch is a floral dream!

    A Sari That Whispers Elegance

The sari’s floral cluster print, executed on a muted oyster base, evoked a vintage romance, enhanced further by its intricate gota kinari edging. While rooted in simplicity, the handwoven linen fabric elevated the look with its breezy drape and natural texture, staying true to Anavila’s signature design ethos. Surveen wore the sari with a matching sleeveless blouse featuring soft back-tie detailing, lending a modern hint to the otherwise old-world aesthetic.

    Styled for the Moment

Curated by celebrity stylist Tanya Ghavri, the overall look paid homage to the theme of timeless femininity. The accessories were kept minimal—statement rings and vintage-style earrings—ensuring the sari remained the visual focus. A pair of oversized sunglasses added just the right amount of contemporary flair, creating a contrast that felt fresh yet rooted in retro tones.

    Hair, Makeup, and Mood

Hair artist Ratanti Pramanik styled Surveen’s hair in a softly pinned updo adorned with floral accents, subtly reinforcing the sari’s blooming motif. Makeup by Harry Rajput stayed within a muted palette—think dewy skin, flushed cheeks, and softly defined eyes, allowing her natural glow to take centre stage. The visual storytelling was completed by photographer Tejas Nerurkar, who captured Surveen in a vintage-inspired setting, seated by a Yamaha piano with soft floral tones in the background.

A Caption That Said It All

Sharing these stills on social media, Surveen wrote, “I wore your favourite saree and waited like I always do, between blooms and longing.” Her caption echoed the melancholic charm of her look—something that felt more like a still from a period film than a promotional appearance.
