Every mother, at some point, quietly hopes to not only love but inspire her kids to be kind, fearless and to choose what matters to them. One of them is Shloka Ambani, who turns this hope into action. A doting mother to her kids, Prithvi and Veda, Shloka is often seen looking after them at grand Ambani celebrations, but also carries within herself the quiet purpose of creating a difference while raising her children. The diva recently appeared for a rare podcast and revealed how she has been working towards fulfilling that mission of hers.
Shloka Ambani opens up about her idea of living behind a legacy for her kids
Shloka Ambani sat down with her organisation, ConnectFor’s co-founder, Maniti Sharma, for a podcast with Masoum Minawala wherein she opened up about her journey. The Ambani family’s daughter-in-law, Shloka, explained that working on her vision for the organisation is an important way for her to leave behind something meaningful, which inspires her kids to follow their dreams. She wants them to learn how, irrespective of their niche, if they strongly feel passionate about something, opportunity will follow. In her words:
“I was telling Maniti that being involved in something like ConnectFor is a way for me to sort of leave behind almost a legacy for my children. Not that I need you to work in the social space or be like this is what you need to do, but more than that, it doesn’t matter how niche something feels. Like, if you feel strongly about it, you will make opportunities happen.”.
Shloka Ambani went ahead to share that as a proud mother, she tries to set an example of purpose and discipline by teaching her kids that just like they go to school, she is trying to become better at what she does. So, the idea of self-improvement is central to it all. Explaining how everyone can contribute in their unique way, she said:
“I take a lot of pride in telling my kids that like mama has to go to the office like you go to school, we all are doing things to make ourselves better, and this is what we are sort of doing it for. Like you need to be aware of the world around you, you need to think about what piece, what position, what can I do for it.”
Shloka’s Ambani wants to set an ideal example for the kids around her
In the same conversation, Shloka Ambani, who comes from the popular Ambani family, explained how there are a lot of small kids, including her children, nieces, nephews and more around her. Since she knows that they are learning from her, she’s even more focused on building something meaningful. According to her, the best gift that one can leave for their kids isn’t about money, but an example of a passionate and purposeful life.
