Bollywood actress, Parineeti Chopra and her husband, politician, Raghav Chadha, were all set to come on Kapil Sharma’s famous comedy show called, The Great Indian Kapil Show. Both of them were seen on the sets of the show and even posed for the paps. However, according to multiple reports online, the shooting of the episode was halted after Raghav’s mom and Parineeti’s mom-in-law, Alka Chadha, fell ill and was rushed to the hospital.

The shooting of Kapil Sharma’s The Great Indian Kapil Show got cancelled after an unforeseen incident happened. Parineeti’s mother-in-law, Alka, fell ill on the sets of the show and was taken to the hospital. The latest episode of the comedy show was set to have Parineeti, Alka and Raghav, but reports state that during the filming, Alka fell sick. According to the latest update by pap, Viral Bayani, the shooting of Kapil’s The Great Indian Kapil Show halted after Alka faced a medical situation. The note shared by the paparazzo page read:
“Since Raghav Chaddha’s mother fell ill amid the shoot of The Great Indian Kapil Show, she had to be rushed to the hospital in the middle of the shoot. As a result of the same, the shoot had to be cancelled. The production team will take a call on the next date for the shoot.”

The production team of The Great Indian Kapil Show, on humanitarian grounds cancelled the shoot out of pure concern. Reportedly, a new date for the episode will be chalked out soon, depending on Alka’s recovery and when Parineeti, along with Raghav, will be available. Viral in his post also shared about how Kapil’s comedy show is loved by all, and mentioned:
“The extremely loved The Great Indian Kapil Show, which is presently in its third season, continues to win the hearts of everyone alike. Amongst the many celebs who have been planned for this season, the latest celeb couple were Parineeti Chopra and Raghav Chaddha.”

Kapil, who was all ready for shooting with Alka, Parineeti and Raghav, could not do the same after Alka fell ill. He is undergoing challenges after there was a gunfire incident at his cafe called Kaps Cafe located in Canada. Reports floating online revealed that the comedian may halt the production of his Netflix show, The Great Indian Kapil Show, but it looks like he is a professional and is completing his professional commitments. He has chosen the path of being dedicated to his craft, and it was on July 19, 2025, when he shared snaps from the shooting sets of his next movie, Kis Kis Ko Pyaar Karoon 2. Well, Kapil did not make any personal statement related to the recent shooting incident that happened in his cafe, but a statement from his very own, Kaps Cafe, read:
“We opened Kap’s Caffe with hopes of bringing warmth, community, and joy through delicious coffee and friendly conversation. To have violence intersect with that dream is heartbreaking. We are processing this shock, but we are not giving up.”
