As Bajrangi Bhaijaan celebrates its 10-year milestone, actor Aayush Sharma has taken a nostalgic walk down memory lane, recalling his first steps into the world of filmmaking. Long before his acting debut, Aayush began his cinematic journey on the sets of the Salman Khan, child artist Harshaali Malhotra starrer Bajrangi Bhaijaan, directed by Kabir Khan — a film that went on to become one of Indian cinema’s biggest blockbusters.

Sharing behind-the-scenes photos from the sets, featuring Salman Khan, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Harshaali Malhotra, and Kabir Khan, Aayush penned a heartfelt note expressing gratitude for the film that shaped his understanding of cinema. “I feel grateful to have started my filmmaking journey with Bajrangi Bhaijaan, under the guidance of legendary filmmaker Kabir Khan sir,” Aayush wrote. “Walking onto the set, I was clueless about movie production, but sir, you taught me the fundamentals of film and shared valuable tips for the future. Thank you for being my first teacher!”
Aayush also revealed a fun anecdote about Salman Khan, sharing a light-hearted photography tip that stuck with him. “On set, I discovered my hobby of photography, but I was unsure what made a good photo,” he recalled. “That’s when Bhai [Salman Khan] shared a funny tip — point the camera at him, and the photo will turn out great!” Calling it the “best acting school experience,” Aayush credited both Salman and Kabir for inspiring his early days behind the camera and sparking his love for visual storytelling.
Released in 2015, Bajrangi Bhaijaan, also starring Kareena Kapoor Khan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui in key roles, continues to be remembered for its heartwarming story, iconic performances, and cross-border emotional resonance.
Meanwhile, Aayush Sharma has gone on to carve his own space in Bollywood with films like Loveyatri, Antim: The Final Truth, and Ruslaan.
