Astronomer’s CEO, Andy Byron has found himself in a deep neck controversy after his viral video from Coldplay’s concert made rounds on social media. In the clip, he was seen hugging his company’s HR chief, Kristin Cabot, from behind, and as soon as they caught up on camera, they hid their faces. Chris Martin cheekily said either the two were extremely camera-shy or were having an affair.

Six months ago, Kristin wrote on her LinkedIn that she has joined Astronomer as a Chief People Officer, and was blown away by the team. Her LinkedIn has apparently been removed after the viral video, but as per the reports, she reportedly said:
“Since joining as Chief People Officer a couple of months ago, I’ve been blown away by the team and the incredible work we’re doing!”

While talking about her new workspace, Kristin, in her LinkedIn post, revealed that she has been energised in her talks with Andy Byron and the team. Kristin shared that the discussion was about the opportunities that exist in Astronomer and the possibilities of employees’ career development. Kristin gushed over Andy and said:
“I have been energized in my conversations with Andy Byron and the Astronomer leadership team about the opportunities that exist here, including aiding our employees’ career development.”

For the unversed, reports claimed that Kristin Cabot was earlier married to Kenneth Thornby. The duo reportedly filed for divorce in 2018, and in 2024, their divorce was finalised, as reported. The couple allegedly has a kid, and after their split, Kenneth reportedly had to pay for the child’s support. While not confirmed, her LinkedIn listed her with the surname ‘Thornby’. Well, in an interview with Neo4j, Kristin said that in her personal and professional lives, she has learnt one thing, which was that one should match people at their level or what is important to them, which is the main foundation to create a connection, and as it comes naturally to her, making her job easier. In Kristin’s words:
“What I’ve learned through my personal life and work is about finding that common ground with people and meeting them at their levels in terms of what is meaningful to them. I’m lucky this comes really naturally to me, and it’s so helpful in my job.”
