In response to the ongoing tensions along India’s international border with Pakistan, the government of Andhra Pradesh has established a 24×7 control room at the Andhra Pradesh Bhavan in New Delhi to assist residents of the state currently living or traveling in the border regions.

Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu directed the move to ensure timely assistance to citizens from Andhra Pradesh who are in Punjab, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh and Himachal Pradesh. The control room will offer guidance, support and emergency help as needed.

In an official statement, the Resident Commissioner of Andhra Pradesh Bhavan said that the state government is closely monitoring the evolving situation in coordination with central agencies and the governments of the respective border states.

The Andhra Pradesh government urged residents in affected areas to remain calm, stay vigilant, and follow all official advisories. Officials have been instructed to keep a close watch on developments and remain in constant communication with both local and central authorities.

    Contact information for assistance:

    AP Bhavan Control Room (24×7):
    Landline: 011-23387089
    Mobile: 9871999430, 9871999053

    For Additional Assistance:
Deputy Commissioner MVS Rama Rao: 9871990081
Liaison Officer V Suresh Babu: 9818395787

The control room has been tasked with promptly addressing any issues faced by Andhra Pradesh residents in the region, ranging from safety concerns to travel difficulties. The state government reaffirmed its commitment to protecting the welfare of its citizens during this period of heightened cross-border tension.

The decision follows a series of military escalations, including ceasefire violations and drone attacks reported along the western border, as well as India’s recent retaliatory strikes under operation sindoor.
