The revelation came from Hema Malini’s close friend, Neetu Kohli, during her appearance on the show Jeena Isi Ka Naam Hai. India Today later reported that Neetu shared how Dharmendra had secretly booked all 100 rooms at the nursing home in preparation for Esha Deol’s birth. Neetu said, “No one even knew Hema was pregnant.” “Dharam ji quietly reserved all the rooms at the hospital to ensure she had total peace and privacy. It was his way of protecting his wife and their unborn child.”
Hema Malini and Dharmendra, who got married in 1980, are regarded as one of Bollywood’s most legendary couples. Their union attracted significant attention due to its unconventional nature, as Dharmendra, already married to Prakash Kaur with four children, chose to marry Hema Malini.

When asked about her choice to live separately from her husband, a decision often seen as a “symbol of feminism,” Hema Malini shared her thoughts with Lehren TV.
