“When Rahman watched Selcouth (a Shiamak-style Indo-contemporary dance show at the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre) a few months ago, there was an unspoken connection — the kind that only happens when two creative worlds quietly align,” he revealed. “Over dinner, he shared his vision for WONDERMENT — not just a tour, but an immersive experience that would move people in every sense. His music carries such depth, and he hoped the choreography would mirror that emotion. That evening began a beautiful collaboration, where music met movement, and in the truest sense, taal se taal mila.”
The Mumbai leg of the tour has already left audiences buzzing, and much of its emotional gravity owes itself to Shiamak’s ability to translate sound into something that can be felt even with your eyes closed. It’s a rare pairing that feels inevitable in hindsight: Rahman’s music and Shiamak’s movement, finally in the same rhythm again.
