Neha Dhupia shares the marriage advice she received from Soha Ali Khan: “Remember men have really fragile egos”

In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter India, Neha Dhupia reflected on her bond with Soha Ali Khan. She shared the marriage advice she once received from her, and spoke about how their respective husbands, Angad Bedi and Kunal Kemmu, have built a supportive friendship of their own.

When asked about Kunal and Angad’s dynamic as husbands to strong, opinionated women, Neha shared that the two often serve as sounding boards for each other. She also recalled a memorable piece of advice from Soha, saying, “When I got married, Soha told me, ‘Remember men have really fragile egos. So watch what you say’.”

Soha further elaborated, “My mother told me that a woman should look after a man’s ego and a man should look after a woman’s emotions. If you’re able to do that, you’ll have a long relationship. Of course, today, people may say women also have egos and men also have emotions, and that’s valid. But I think it was advice given with good intent. Marriages are challenging, and it’s comforting to have friends to lean on.”

Neha revealed that she hadn’t initially informed Soha about her wedding to Angad. It was Soha’s mother, who shares a friendship with Angad’s parents, who received the wedding invitation, catching Soha completely by surprise.

Neha and Angad got married in May 2018 and welcomed their daughter, Mehr, later that year, followed by their son, Guriq, in 2022. Soha, on the other hand, is married to actor Kunal Kemmu, and the couple has a daughter named Inaaya.
