The film, which premiered directly on Prime Video, revolves around the uneasy partnership between the U.S. President (Cena) and the UK Prime Minister (Elba), who are forced to work together when a global conspiracy puts the world at risk. Priyanka Chopra Jonas plays Noel Bisset, a sharp MI6 agent who becomes instrumental in holding the chaos together.
Directed by Ilya Naishuller (Hardcore Henry, Nobody), Heads of State combines buddy-comedy nostalgia with modern action sequences. The ensemble cast also includes Carla Gugino, Jack Quaid, Stephen Root, Sarah Niles, Richard Coyle, and Paddy Considine.
For Chopra Jonas, the film marks another step in her international career, showcasing her in a bold, commanding role.
