SS Rajamouli recently shared a post as his epic action-fantasy ‘Baahubali: The Beginning’ (2015) marked 10 years. He announced the release of ‘Baahubali: The Epic’, a two-part combined film.

In a heartfelt post shared on X with a poster of ‘Baahubali: The Epic’, Rajamouli wrote, “Baahubali. The beginning of many journeys. Countless memories. Endless inspiration. It’s been 10 years. Marking this special milestone with Baahubali The Epic, a two-part combined film. In theatres worldwide on October 31, 2025.”

Reacting to the announcement, an X user wrote, “OMG can’t wait ..Personally I loved Bahubali 2 more. Amarendra Baahubali is Love, but ‘Baahubali 1’, of course, builds the all-important base. Overall, I’m seated to see how both are combined into 1.”

A fan also commented, “Can we expect Part 3 of ‘Baahubali’?”

Fans expressed excitement at the announcement of ‘Baahubali: The Epic’.

Previously, before announcing the release date, the production house, Arka Media Works, decided to combine both the ‘Baahubali’ films into one, by introducing several new cuts to the whole narrative, as reported by Gulte.

The ‘Baahubali’ series is a duology of films, following the journey of Sivudu (played by Prabhas), an adventurous young man and his quest for true love and purpose in life. ‘Baahubali: The Beginning’ narrates how Sivudu helped his love Avantika (Tamannaah Bhatia) rescue Devasena (Anushka Shetty), the former queen of Mahishmati, who is now imprisoned by the tyrannical king Bhallaladeva Rana Daggubati).

The story concludes in ‘Baahubali 2: The Conclusion’ (2017). The movie series also features Sathyaraj, Ramya Krishnan, Nassar and others in key roles. ‘Baahubali: The Begninning’ earned Rs 650 crore worldwide, while ‘Baahubali: The Conclusion’ collected Rs 1788.06 crore globally, as reporetd by Sacnilk.

The sequel is still able to secure the third position in the highest-grossing Indian films of all time, after ‘Dangal’ (2016) and ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’ (2024).
