Many government employees are keenly waiting for the 8th Pay Commission to be rolled out. The commission could raise salaries and pensions by 30–34%, benefiting nearly 11 million people, according to a report by Ambit Capital, reported The Economic Times.
The recommendations are expected to take effect from January 2026 but will need to be finalised, submitted, and cleared by the government first.
