Dubai Princess, Sheikha Mahra, is allegedly dating French Montana
Moroccan-American rapper, French Montana and Princess of Dubai, Sheikha Mahra, were recently seen walking arm-in-arm through Paris. The duo attended the Paris Fashion Week, fanning rumours about love being in the air for the rumoured couple. While neither Sheikha nor Montana has confirmed or denied the speculation about their romance, multiple reports have cited sources close to the two, claiming that they have been in a relationship.
What further fueled the fire was Dubai Princess, Sheikha Mahra’s Instagram post. The princess shared pictures of the Eiffel Tower and dinner at a fancy restaurant. She then shared a photo showing two hands holding a lock with a heart emoji on it, with the Eiffel Tower in the background. According to reports, the picture is from the Pont des Arts in Paris, also known as the “Love Lock Bridge”. For the unversed, it is a place where couples attach padlocks to railings and throw the keys into the Seine River to symbolise their eternal love.
Princess, Sheikha Mahra and French Montana’s dinner date
It was in 2024 when the princess, Sheikha Mahra, took to Instagram to share pictures with the rapper, French Montana, at Nammos Dubai, a famous restaurant located at the Four Seasons Resort, Jumeirah. The royal was seen showing French Montana the Emirati way of life at the desert-located oasis. The duo even enjoyed camel riding, and French Montana also wore traditional Emirati menswear, including the Kandura and the Gutra. Speculations about the duo dating have been circulating ever since. However, neither has reacted to the buzz.
Sheikha Mahra’s divorce from Sheikh Mana al Maktoum
Sheikha Mahra was previously married to Emirati businessman Sheikh Mana al Maktoum, a member of the royal family from Dubai. Their wedding took place in April 2023, followed by a second, equally lavish ceremony in May 2023. The couple soon welcomed their daughter in July 2024. However, things got sour between the couple, and Sheikha Mahra divorced her husband publicly, accusing him of infidelity.
She took to her Instagram page and shared a picture note, divorcing her husband. The courage was lauded by people from across the globe. Sheikha didn’t let this deter her, and she soon started her own business, Mahra1. She also launched a revenge perfume line and named it ‘Divorce’. Interestingly, even French Montana has posed with the perfume. Sheikha’s divorce post could be read as:
“Dear Husband, as you are occupied with other companions, I hereby declare our divorce. Take care, Your ex-wife.”
