The Academy of Country Music (ACM), established in 1964 in Los Angeles, is hosting its 60th annual awards show tonight, Thursday, May 8. Originally formed to highlight country music in the western U.S, the ACM Awards have since grown to be one of the most prestigious events in the genre.
bCountry music legend Reba McEntire is once again hosting the stage this year. 2025 will be her 18th year as host, making her the most veteran host in the history of the award show.
Star-Studded Lineup of Performers
The ACM Awards are always full of surprises with unique pairings, and this year’s show will be no exception. According to Fast Company, highlights include performances from Rascal Flatts with Backstreet Boys, Jelly Roll with Shaboozey, and Cody Johnson with Brooks & Dunn.
Solo performances will feature big acts like Chris Stapleton, Kelsea Ballerini, Blake Shelton, Miranda Lambert, Megan Moroney, Wynonna Judd, LeAnn Rimes, Alan Jackson, and Lainey Wilson. Group performances by Dan + Shay and Sugarland will also energize the stage.
