Pakistani actress and model, Humaira Asghar, who earned fame for playing glamorous roles and working in reality TV shows, was recently found dead in her apartment in Karachi. The 32-year-old actress rose to fame for her stint in Tamasha Ghar, Pakistan’s version of Big Brother and never looked back. However, the world of fame, which brought her attention and money, also took away a lot, including her family. It has been revealed that her lifeless body was discovered in a highly decomposed state, which suggests that she passed away several weeks ago, unnoticed and alone.
Humaira Asghar’s father refuses to claim her dead body
The news of Humaira Asghar’s tragic death has left her fans and followers stunned. But something has sparked an even deeper outrage. When Humaira’s family, particularly her brother and father, were informed about her demise, they refused to accept her body. According to reports, when police contacted her brother through phone records, her brother asked them to contact their father, who had an even cold response. Dr. Asghar Ali, a retired army doctor, allegedly told the police officials:
“We have cut off ties with her long ago. Do whatever you want with her body. We will not receive it.”
After the development, the authorities revealed that they would once again try to convince Humaira’s father to take her body and complete the necessary final rites as per their rituals. If they don’t, then the body will be declared heirless and will be buried. There is no public information about Humaira’s mother. Netizens were shocked at the family’s reaction, and a user penned, “I saw a clip of her interview yesterday, and she was fondly talking about her family. Can’t believe they are doing this to her now.”
Police found Humaira Asghar’s body after receiving a court order for action on unpaid dues
Humaira Asghar’s lifeless body had been lying at her apartment since June, and no one had a clue about it. It’s discovery was equally distressing, which happened on July 8, 2025, after police arrived at her home to execute a court order over unpaid dues. Reportedly, she had not paid the rent for more than a year, and when no one answered the door, the authorities had to break the lock and enter the flat, where they witnessed the grim sight of her decomposed body.
South Karachi Deputy Inspector General, Syed Asad Raza confirmed to the local media that the condition of the body indicated that Humaira had been dead for at least two or three weeks or even longer. On the other hand, Forensic expert, Dr. Summaiya Syed opined that the dead body showed signs of ‘very advanced decomposition’. However, despite the circumstances, officials have ruled out the possibility of any foul play and found no signs of forced entry or physical trauma. Meanwhile, an autopsy will confirm the exact cause of her demise.
