Director Apoorva Lakhia shared a BTS video from ‘Battle of Galwan’ on social media. The blurred video shows people engaging in intense combat training.

The film is based on Galwan Valley war hero Colonel Bikumalla Santosh Babu. While the clip doesn’t clearly show the face, the blurred silhouette of an individual engaged in hand-to-hand combat with multiple men resembles the actor. He is leaving no stones unturned for the upcoming war drama.

Lakhia, while sharing the video on his Instagram handle, wrote, “Practice makes perfect, no pain no gain (sic).”

While reacting to the video, a fan commented, “Salman Bhai (Salman brother).” A user also wrote, “Is that Salman Khan?” Another fan commented, “Ab is baar pakka hai bhai ka come back (Now this time Salman Khan will make a comeback for sure).”

Khan plays the role of Colonel Bikumalla Santosh Babu, whose heroism was revered during the 2020 Indo-China Galwan Valley conflict. The 2020 clash in the disputed border region in Ladakh, India, led to a deadly cross-border confrontation without any bullets.

The June 15, 2020 confrontation at the Sino-Indian border resulted in casualties on both sides—marking the first fatalities in nearly 45 years. The fighting involved hand-to-hand combat using sticks and stones, as firearms were prohibited in the area.

An industry source had earlier revealed that Khan is focused at honouring the legacy of a decorated officer by training in high-altitude conditions. The source was quoted saying, “Given the high-altitude challenges of shooting in Leh and the physical demands of portraying a decorated Army officer like Colonel Bikumalla Santosh Babu, Salman has committed to an intense training regimen (sic).”

Recently, Khan unveiled his first look from ‘Battle of Galwan’. It showed his bloodstained face, moustache and a wired club in his hand. The motion poster from the movie also highlights Colonel Babu’s army uniform and rank insignia.

Previously, while sharing his leaner look for the upcoming film, Khan wrote, “Mehnat karo sahi disha mein. Unhi par woh meherbaan, aur banayega unhi ko unke hunar ka pehelwan (Work hard in the right direction. He is kind to them, and will make them wrestler of their talent) (sic).”

The release date of ‘Battle of Galwan’ is yet to be officially announced.
