It was not long ago that Ram Kapoor claimed he, Ronit Roy, and Sakshi Tanwar had made enough money to take care of the next four generations of their respective families. However, now, Ram has taken a step back from the statement and clarified what he meant by it. In a recent conversation with Republic World, the actor recalled his admission and shared some insight into what he was aiming to share.
Ram Kapoor backtracks on his comment about having ample wealth
In a recent conversation, Ram Kapoor clarified his statement and reiterated that only if TV actors invest wisely can they truly save a substantial amount of money. He added that the question was how much TV actors can make was very vague. He shared that right after that question, he was asked who he considers in the same league as himself, and he answered Sakshi Tanwar and Ronit Roy. He further stated:
“Then he asked about how much you three people could make. Then I answered that if you are at the top level of the television industry, if you are the top actor in the television industry and if you are a wise investor, then you can make a lot of money to take care of the next four generations. Like Ronit and Sakshi have 100 per cent done.”
In the same conversation, Ram Kapoor further refuted his claims that he has created ample wealth to last for the next four generations. The actor explained that while some top television actors managed to do so, it is extremely difficult. He added that it would only be possible if they started investing wisely from the beginning of their careers.
Ram Kapoor draws a comparison between the TV and film industry
Ram Kapoor further drew a comparison between the film and TV industry and stated that both are extremely different, as one might not get a film for two years. However, if a TV show is a hit, it can last for three to four years. He further added:
“Sakshi’s show Kahani Ghar Ghar Ki lasted for eight years. Now, when you know making that kind of money every month for eight years, it is a very, very big amount. And if you invest that money wisely from the very beginning, then by the time your career is towards its end, you will have enough money for everything that you need, but the bottom thing is, if you don’t invest in if you keep spending that money, then no amount is enough.”

Ram Kapoor had previously claimed that he had made ample money to support four generations
In a recent interview with Humans of Bombay, Ram Kapoor revealed that TV actors can also earn as much as film actors. However, that would only be possible if they are a part of a hit show which lasts for 7-8 years or are a top actor in the television industry. He further added that Sakshi, Ronit, and he had been on television for over two decades, and with sensible investment and planning, could have made enough money to support generations to come. He stated:
“It is not that television actors make as much as film actors. However, if you have a hit show that lasts for 7-8 years and are at the top of television, your monthly check is equivalent to your salary for 8 years. People like me, Sakshi and Ronit, if you have been on television for 20 years and are sensible, then you have made enough for at least 3-4 generations.”
