Actor Vikrant Massey reacted to his ‘Chapaak’ co-star Deepika Padukone’s eight-hour work call. He emphasised the requirements of young mothers while also reflecting on the challenges related to a film production house.

Massey when asked about Padukone’s request for eight-hour work schedule in an interview with Firstpost, stated that he aspires to do the same very soon. He said, “I aspire to do something like that very soon. Maybe in a couple of years… I want to go out and say, we can collaborate, but I would only work for eight hours. But at the same time, it should be a choice.”

The ‘Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan’ actor further said, “Money plays a very important role, and I will have to reduce my fees as I will be working for eight hours instead of twelve. If I cannot give my producer twelve hours a day, I cannot go out there and not reduce my fee. It’s a give-and-take, right? And as a young mother, I think Deepika deserves it.”

Padukone had earlier quit Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s ‘Spirit’ opposite Prabhas due to unmet demands including a shorter work schedule. Her departure later led to actor Triptii Dimri replacing her in the movie.

Padukone will next feature in Atlee’s sci-fi action-thriller, ‘AA22xA6’ with Allu Arjun. The film is produced by Kalanithi Maran’s Sun Pictures.

Massey will next be seen in ‘Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan’ opposite Sanjay and Maheep Kapoor’s daughter Shanaya. She is making her Bollywood debut with the romantic-drama directed by Santosh Singh.

‘Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan’ is presented by Zee Studios and Mini Films, and is scheduled for a theatrical release on July 11.
