The entertainment world is mourning the demise of the talented actor, Julian McMahon, who entertained fans throughout his life with his work in Nip/Tuck, Charmed and FBI: Most Wanted, among other projects. The actor passed away at the age of 56 following a ‘private battle with cancer’. The heartbreaking news was confirmed by his wife, Kelly Paniagua to Deadline. She also informed that he died peacefully after living a life full of love for his family, work and fans. While fans remembered his professional legacy, his personal life was equally complex. Over the years, Julian McMahon tied the knot thrice and became father to a beautiful daughter.
Julian McMahon’s initial marriages were short-lived
Julian McMahon tied the knot for the first time with Australian pop star and TV personality, Dannii Minogue. The duo got married on January 2, 1994, but their marriage was short-lived, and they legally parted ways in August 1995. Later, Dannii opened up about the failure of her marriage and shared that they spent most of their time apart due to their demanding careers. While Julian was building his acting career in the US, she was busy working in the UK, and the physical distance took a toll on their bond.
Julian gave another chance to love and tied the knot after nearly five years with American actress and model, Brooke Burns. They took the vows on December 22, 1999, and welcomed a daughter, Madison Elizabeth McMahon. She was born in 2000, and just a year after her birth, the duo decided to part ways. But, both Julian and Brooke remained committed to co-parenting their daughter who is a professional volleyball player and won a gold medal at the 2017 Pan American Cup.

Julian McMahon found the lasting love of his life in model and actress, Kelly Paniagua. The couple began dating in 2003 and tied the knot after a decade of togetherness on June 30, 2014, in a romantic ceremony at Lake Tahoe. Julian planned a last minute unique proposal for Kelly with his daughter on a flight to Paris. Recalling the same in an interview with New Idea, Julian once shared:
“When we got on the plane, I told Maddy that I wanted to propose to Kelly in Paris, but I wasn’t sure we were going to get there. I asked ‘Do you think maybe we should propose on the plane together?'”
Kelly, who has appeared on Australian shows like Home Away, has mostly stayed away from the spotlight. Particularly, Kelly was Julian’s steady support during his final years and difficult battle with cancer. She confirmed his passing in a heartfelt note and highlighted how he brought joy into the lives of others.
