Popular film and TV actor, Ram Kapoor has dominated the headlines for quite a while now. Amidst all these buzz around him, a rumours were also floating around that Ram Kapoor and his wife, Gautami Kapoor had been approached for Bigg Boss 19 and would be joining the show hosted by Salman Khan. Finally, Ram has confirmed whether there is any truth to these rumours.
Ram Kapoor says that he will never join Bigg Boss
Ram Kapoor has confirmed that he will not be participating in Bigg Boss 19, which is set to premiere in August 2025. Moreover, the actor reiterated that he will never participate in the Salman Khan-hosted controversial show even if they offered him Rs. 20 crore. Ram then said that Bigg Boss isn’t a bad show; however, as an actor, he thinks that it’s not for him. Ram Kapoor was quoted as saying:
“I will never ever come in Bigg Boss even if they offer me Rs. 20cr because that kind of show is not for me. That doesn’t mean it’s a bad show, I know it’s a very very successful show. My point is, I consider myself an actor.”
Ram Kapoor said that he will be the ‘worst person for Bigg Boss‘
Citing his reasons for never being a part of Bigg Boss, Ram Kapoor said that he feels that reality shows like Bigg Boss are ‘just voyeurism’. Although they are successful, people are not showing their talents as contestants. Instead, these shows are for people who like to watch other people’s lives, stated the actor. Ram then specified that he thinks that wanting to see other’s lives is fine but its not for him. The actors said that he is a very private person and would be the ‘worst person for Bigg Boss‘. Talking about his reasons for not participating in the show, Ram said:
“These kind of shows although they are very successful but they are just voyeurism. Bigg Boss or any kind of reality show, you are not showing any talent, it’s just voyeurism. It’s just people liking to see other people’s life. That’s fine. It’s not for me. I am a very private person. I would be the worst person for Bigg Boss….. So i am not coming to Bigg Boss, I will never come to Bigg Boss because reality shows are not for me.”

According to reports, the upcoming Bigg Boss 19 is set to premiere on TV screens in August 2025. Reportedly, the makers will first run the TV version for three and a half months. The OTT version will follow later. For previous seasons of Bigg Boss, the OTT show comes first, followed by the TV version. Salman Khan is also expected to start shooting for the Bigg Boss 19 promo in July 2025. Amid all these, the makers will make an announcement soon, said a report by News18.
