In a recent interview, Ridhi opened up about the excitement of playing such an interesting character: “Playing the role of Kavya was very exciting as I haven’t played a character like this before,” she shared. “Kavya is someone who is all about herself, with a ‘I don’t care’ attitude. She’s a classic example of middle-class syndrome, a personality type I hadn’t explored before. In the past, I’ve often played strong roles, characters who stand up for others. I was longing to do something this layered and different. Even the shooting experience was beautiful. We shot in a stunning palace, and I used to wake up every morning to the melodious tunes of a flute. It was magical.”
On being recognized for her strong and memorable roles, Ridhi expressed her gratitude, she said, “It feels really good when people recognize me through my characters. Whether it’s Nusrat from Asur, Astha from The Married Woman, Liz from Badtameez Dil, or Kaveri from Jawan, I love that people remember me for my performances. It’s a kind of feedback for me, it means they liked what I did, and that’s the biggest compliment I could ask for.”
When asked about what excites her before signing a new project, Ridhi explained, “Firstly, the role needs to be substantial and exciting, it has to speak to me. Also, I really want to work with people who genuinely want to collaborate with me. When people on set are interested in you and your process, you can build something meaningful together and share your creative thoughts. That’s the whole experience I look forward to.”
