NAINITAL: Two Indian Air Force airmen from Pathankot Air Force base drowned in Musatal lake in Bhimtal block, under the Chafi gram panchayat area of Nainital district, on Thursday afternoon while vacationing with six colleagues.Circle officer Pramod Sah said the group of eight, including four women personnel, had gone for an outing when the four airmen went for a swim. Prince Yadav and Sahil, both in their mid-30s, ventured into deeper water and began to drown. “Their colleagues tried to rescue them but failed. Locals & cops launched a rescue operation after being alerted, and bodies were fished out of the lake an hour later,” Sah added.
