Actor Ram Kapoor, in a podcast with Bharti Singh and Haarsh Limbachiyaa, spoke about his investments and properties. He also mentioned his father, Anil ‘Billy’ Kapoor, a prominent figure in advertising.
Ram Kapoor opens up about the importance of timely investments: “Investments make you richer and richer”
Ram Kapoor emphasized the value of smart investments, saying, “money in the bank is dead money.” Despite his wealth, he continues to work because he enjoys it. Known for his luxury car collection, he also holds a diverse portfolio with multiple properties.
Ram Kapoor shared that early in his career, his focus was on earning money, but now he works purely out of passion. “At the beginning of my career, I worked hard for money. Once I made money, I started working because I enjoy it. These days, I only work when I want to, otherwise, for six months at a stretch, I do nothing. During this time, I work on my investments and properties. I have property in Dubai… Investments make you richer and richer. When you start making money, and you’re sensible about it, you have to know what to do with that money. It’s important,” he said.
He further explained the importance of financial planning, saying, “If you make the right investments, you will have more money than you can imagine. You have to have the correct mind, or the correct people advising you. Earning money is just phase one, phase two is what you do with that money. Money in the bank is dead money, you have to know what to do with it. If you know what to do with it, you can double your money every three years.”
In a recent interview with Humans of Bombay, Ram Kapoor revealed that he has earned enough wealth to sustain four generations of his family. Speaking about his personal interests, he said, “Watches and cars are the only things I love, so people who can afford these watches they have fantastic watch collections. It’s just that a lot of people who have it, they like to keep quiet about it. Even we want to keep quiet but unfortunately because I am in the public eye, the media gets to know about it. Yes, I do have a car collection. I have a Ferrari, a Porsche but the thing is we don’t like to show it off.”
Ram Kapoor currently stars in Mistry, the Hindi remake of Monk, as a former Mumbai cop with severe OCD who helps solve complex cases alongside ACP Sehmat Siddiqui, played by Mona Singh.
