At the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) state working committee meeting in Patna, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh addressed party leaders and workers, and said that Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be the faces of the NDA’s campaign in the upcoming Bihar elections.

He urged BJP workers to reach every household in the state with the message of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s development work.

Calling the BJP an organisation deeply rooted in its workers, Rajnath Singh said, “The BJP is like a tree whose strength lies in its roots – its dedicated workers. You are not ordinary karyakartas; you are builders of a golden Bihar.” Commenting on the significance of Bihar, he described the land as sacred and rich in knowledge, referring to it as the land of Ashoka, Chanakya, and Aryabhata.

Reflecting on the party’s history, Singh said he has seen the commitment of BJP workers for 40 years. “If you speak to a BJP worker with love, he will give you his heart. For us, the nation comes first. And now, we must do the same for Bihar,” he added. He stressed that only the BJP can restore Bihar’s lost pride and called upon the party to draw inspiration from its past and resolve to win the upcoming assembly elections.

Singh laid out a five-point call to action for party workers – establish a relationship of trust with the people, talk about Modi and BJP at every booth, spread awareness about government schemes, help Bihar regain its self-confidence, and position BJP not just as a political party but as a force for social transformation.

Criticising the Congress and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), Singh said their politics revolves solely around the desire for power, while the BJP is driven by the mission of nation-building. He asked workers to become carriers of Modi’s mission and ensure his achievements reach every household. He also urged them to counter the opposition’s misinformation with facts and confidence.

Rajnath Singh added that the opposition may resort to divisive politics, and called on BJP workers to focus on unity, self-reliance, and development. He concluded by saying that Bihar’s development is only possible under the NDA alliance and the leadership of Nitish Kumar.
