Shah Rukh Khan’s Heartfelt Speech on Gauri & ‘Tough Times’ At IIFA 2024 Wins Hearts

Shah Rukh Khan hosted the second day of the IIFA Awards 2024 in Abu Dhabi, where he reflected on the challenges faced during the filming of Jawan. In what seemed to be a subtle reference to his son Aryan Khan’s 2021 drug case arrest, SRK shared personal insights. Aryan, who is set to debut as a director, was cleared of all charges in May 2023. During his speech, SRK humorously thanked his wife, Gauri Khan, saying, “Somebody reminded me that money needs to be put into a film. So I want to thank Gauri Khan. She may be the only wife who’s spending more on the husband than the other way around.” He also acknowledged the tough time they were going through while making Jawan. When Karan Johar inquired about his retirement plans, SRK compared himself to MS Dhoni, quipping, “Main aur Dhoni ek kisam ke legends hain, na na kar ke bhi 10 IPL khel jaate hain.” By the end of the night, Shah Rukh Khan took home the Best Actor award at IIFA 2024 for his performance in Jawan.
