Vikrant Massey, Shanaya Kapoor, director Santosh Singh and producers Mansi Bagla and Varun Bagla attended the launch of the trailer of their film Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan at a multiplex in Mumbai. Shanaya Kapoor, who debuts with this romantic saga, was joined by her parents, Maheep Kapoor and Sanjay Kapoor, and they also came on stage.

Shanaya Kapoor said, “I am very grateful to be here at the trailer launch of my film in PVR. I visit PVR every Friday and buy salt-caramel mix popcorn with Coke. I am always in the last row. Q-17, 18 and 19 are our seats (laughs). I have grown up watching films and now I am finally a part of it. And PVR really means a lot to me. It’s a place where I grew up. And I feel calm to see myself on the big screen.”
Maheep Kapoor stated, “I am so excited obviously. As Shanaya said, she has grown up in PVR. I am very nervous. Mansi, Varun and Sandy (Santosh Singh) have made a phenomenal film. I have seen it. It’s just beautiful and I am saying this from the bottom of my heart. Show my baby all the love. You have shown love to Vikrant; now show it to my baby!”
Sanjay Kapoor came on stage and hugged Vikrant Massey. He struggled to hold back his tears and said, “I have been working for the last 30 years but haven’t been this nervous. Today, I am very nervous. Before tears flow down my ears, I’d like to thank you.”
Meanwhile, Vikrant Massey remarked, “I had a great time working with her. The promotions are going on and people are asking her, ‘How was it for her working with me?’. Let me tell you, this is her first film. Par jitna maine unse seekha hai in 4-5 mahino mein, utna shayad hi maine apne 21 saal ke lambe career mein seekha hoga! I mean every word of it!”
Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan releases in cinemas on July 11.
