Aamir Khan, who is currently promoting his latest film ‘Sitaare Zameen Par’, participated in a fun chess match with YouTuber and comedian Samay Raina, known for his popular show ‘India’s Got Latent’. The match, shared on Raina’s social media platforms, quickly grabbed attention for Khan’s sharp strategy and good humour.
In the video, Khan appeared confident and cheerful as he prepared for the game, instructing the crew to capture the moment. “Record karo. Maar raha hoon isse. Adha ghanta khelenge hum log,” he said, meaning, “Record this. He will lose. We’ll just play for half an hour.”

As the game progressed, a wrong move from Raina prompted Khan to quip, “Gadbad kar di tune mere dost” (“You’ve made a mistake, my friend”). Displaying his chess skills, Khan added, “Abhi itna kaccha bhi nahi hoon bhai” (“I’m not that amateur”). Raina, trying to break Khan’s focus with his signature humour, received a light yet focused reply: “Sun, abhi confuse mat karna” (“Listen, don’t confuse me now”).
Eventually, Khan won the match and joked, “Aamir Khan se haara hai, khush hona chahiye tereko” (“You lost to Aamir Khan, you should be happy”). Never missing a beat, Raina responded with a cheeky remark: “Koi nahi sir, kabhi kabhi ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ bhi ho jaata hai” (“It’s okay sir, sometimes things go Laal Singh Chaddha too”), taking a playful dig at Khan’s previous film.
As he wrapped up the game, Khan insisted Raina post the video, saying, “Tu daalega yeh, make sure that he puts it.” The light-hearted interaction offered a glimpse of Khan’s competitive spirit and his fun-loving side.
The video struck a chord with fans, blending humour and rivalry in a refreshing break from the actor’s ongoing film promotions. The clip also featured a cameo by cricketer Hardik Pandya.
‘Sitaare Zameen Par’ released in theatres on June 20. Directed by RS Prasanna, it also stars Genelia Deshmukh.
