“I feel that every film pushes you to your limits, irrespective of the genre you are part of,” Massey stated, adding that there is no fixed method to avoid fatigue or complacency as an actor. “It’s a part of an actor’s life, I feel. The idea is to keep reinventing through new methods, to update yourself from time to time.”

While speaking about his experience on the current project, Vikrant revealed how the team opted for a more authentic portrayal of blindness rather than relying on cinematic shortcuts. “We made customized lenses, which I wore throughout the film,” he said. “Half the film, my character is wearing glasses. So, you get a leeway—your eyes are open from the inside. But we didn’t want to do that.”

The actor went on to explain the lengths the team went to for realism. “We ordered customized lenses from America. I wore those lenses, which gave me 80–85% blindness. We kept that 10–15% vision just for light to creep in—for safety reasons—because there are sharp objects and props around.”

Recounting the moment he first wore the lenses, Vikrant admitted to feeling overwhelmed. “It was daytime, a sunny day, and we were sitting right next to the sea. But I couldn’t see anything. I just knew there was light, but I couldn’t make out the shape or form of things around me,” he said. “I was very nervous. I went back home and realised this is a different ball game altogether.”

Massey, often lauded for his method acting and grounded performances, added that the process was especially challenging because each character demands a unique method of preparation. “There is no one method per se. Different characters demand different methods of preparation,” he said.

The film, which will mark the debut of Shanaya Kapoor, is slated to release on July 11.
