Shahid Kapoor on Wednesday reacted to India’s Operation Sindoor against terror centres in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu & Kashmir. He joined the rest of the Bollywood celebrities in congratulating the Indian army and the government, by making a special post on Instagram. However, he later deleted the statement that he made via that post, and disabled the comment section.

While his fans continue to wonder what went wrong after his initial post, the new post remains on Instagram. Kapoor, known for his performances in the movies ‘Jab We Met’, ‘Haider’, and ‘Kabir Singh’, among others, shared a picture of an Indian Airforce aircraft, and wrote, “India doesn’t provoke. But India never forgets (sic), followed by #OperationSindoor and an Indian flag emoji in the caption.

He later removed the caption. This is what his post looks like now:

In the early hours of Wednesday, India launched Operation Sindoor, demolishing nine terror centres with precision strikes. In a blitz lasting 25 minutes, the Indian army and the Indian Airforce performed a joint attack targeting terror facilities. The precision strikes killed over 80 terrorists linked to Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), and Hizbul Mujahideen. The government called it India’s response to the barbaric Pahalgam attack of April 22, which claimed 26 innocent lives, mostly tourists, including a foreign national.
