Shefali Jariwala’s demise came as a shock to her fans. The 42-year-old actress, who is known for her Kaanta Laga song, bid farewell to the world on June 27, 2025. The gorgeous actress’s death was not clear initially, given the abrupt incident. While the first reports claimed that it could have happened due to cardiac arrest, some other sources revealed that the demise was caused by the actress’s BP dropping. Shefali’s family is in grief, and it’s her husband, Parag Tyagi, whose world has just turned upside down with the sudden turn of events in life. Recently, Shefali’s close friend, Pooja Ghai talked about Parag’s condition.

Shefali Jariwala’s friend, Pooja Ghai sat for an interview with Vickey Lalwani, wherein she talked about Parag Tyagi’s state. Pooja said that the good part is that there has been no foul play in Shefali’s autopsy report. She mentioned that her only fear after watching Parag was that, for such a person, who lost his wife, being heaped with cross-questions from the police, is nothing short of terrifying. She further added that while it’s understandable that the police were doing their job, but in the past instances have shown how tough it is to be cross-questioned in such a case when someone has just lost their close ones. Pooja said:
“The good part is that there was no foul play. My only fear, the moment I saw Parag was… Oh my god, the guy was grieving, the guy naturally wanted to be left alone, and he was being cross-questioned by the police. Of course, they were doing their duty. But we’ve seen it in past cases, I don’t want to name people who have gone through this. You’ve seen (next of kin) being grilled for months, and their life is over.”
In the same interview, Pooja Ghai revealed that such a situation doesn’t even allow people to grieve or be with themselves to process the loss, because they have to stay under the radar of police and media. Pooja stated that no sooner did she see Parag, her only wish was that he could get out of this as soon as possible and have time of his own to deal with it. She stated that Parag was released soon because there was no foul play involved. Pooja can be quoted as saying:
“They don’t even have enough time to grieve, because they’re constantly under the radar of the police and the media. Few months are probably just gone in that. The moment I saw Parag, my only prayer was, ‘I hope he gets out of this as early as possible’. He could spend time with himself. He could be there and grieve. Fortunately, the report says there was no foul play, and he was released.”

If the reports are to be believed, Shefali was on an empty stomach for a puja at her home. She had her pills along with an anti-ageing injection. Well, both of them triggered her empty stomach, and her BP lowered. Reportedly, she was shivering and collapsed before she was taken to the hospital, and upon arrival, she was announced dead. Talking about Parag’s reaction back then, Pooja said that he was by Shefali’s side. Pooja mentioned that Parag went numb, and he was not able to gather himself. Stating that Shefali was Parag’s world, Pooja said:
“I don’t think he was in the state. He was just numb. He just couldn’t gather. Shefali was the world to him.”
It was on June 27, 2025, when Shefali Jariwala bid farewell to the world. The report was first shared by Vickey Lalwani, who revealed that the hospital authority had confirmed that Shefali passed away. Shefali’s doctor had shared that she had no heart-related issues, but she was on anti-ageing treatment for a long time. The investigation is currently underway to find the main reason for her death.
