Elon Musk, once a close Donald Trump’s ally and advisor, is fiercely criticising the US president’s massive One Big, Beautiful Bill again, calling it insane and a massive burden on taxpayers. Musk accused Republicans of betraying fiscal conservatives and urged the creation of a new party that “actually cares about the people.”

He also vowed to create a new “America Party” if the bill passes. The Senate is now engaged in a marathon vote series as Republicans attempt to pass the key piece of legislation for Trump’s second term.

Musk, who has previously supported Trump and contributed over $250 million to his campaign, has been constantly lashing out at the tax bill. In his latest post, he accused lawmakers of passing a bill that he says will severely harm ordinary Americans.

“It is obvious with the insane spending of this bill, which increases the debt ceiling by a record FIVE TRILLION DOLLARS that we live in a one-party country – the PORKY PIG PARTY!! Time for a new political party that actually cares about the people,” Musk posted on X.

The Senate is working to pass the bill before the self-imposed July 4 deadline. The House narrowly passed the bill last month. Once the Senate finalizes its version, the House must approve the changes before it can be signed into law.

Titled “One Big, Beautiful Bill,” the legislation is a part of Trump’s second-term agenda. It demands more funding for defence, energy production, and border security. Budget cuts for nutrition and healthcare programs are also included. The Congressional Budget Office reported that over the next ten years, the bill would increase the national deficit by almost $3.3 trillion.

MUSK ATTACKS REPUBLICANS OVER DEBT AND SPENDING

Musk didn’t stop at criticising the bill itself. He also directly targeted prominent Republican lawmakers, including House Freedom Caucus Chairman Rep. Andy Harris.

“How can you call yourself the Freedom Caucus if you vote for a DEBT SLAVERY bill with the biggest debt ceiling increase in history?” Musk asked on social media.

He continued his tirade, warning that voters would hold lawmakers accountable. “Every member of Congress who campaigned on reducing government spending and then immediately voted for the biggest debt increase in history should hang their head in shame!” Musk added. “And they will lose their primary next year if it is the last thing I do on this Earth.”

He also wrote on X : “If this insane spending bill passes, the America Party will be formed the next day. Our country needs an alternative to the Democrat-Republican uniparty so that the people actually have a VOICE.”

MUSK BREAKS WITH TRUMP OVER BIG, BEAUTIFUL BILL

Earlier, Musk was tapped to lead a newly created Department of Government Efficiency, but the partnership eventually collapsed following public disagreements over government spending.

Once-political power partners, Donald Trump and tech billionaire Elon Musk, have been locked in a testy back-and-forth that shows no sign of cooling.

Elon Musk, the billionaire mogul who left the White House last month with a ceremonial key in hand and praise from President Trump, is now embroiled in a bitter public spat with the man he claims would have “lost the election” without him.

“Without me, Trump would have lost the election, Dems would control the House and the Republicans would be 51-49 in the Senate,” Musk posted on June 5.

On June 11, Musk posted on X stating, “I regret some of my posts about President Trump last week. They went too far.” He deleted his most inflammatory posts, including the Epstein claim and an endorsement of a call for Trump’s impeachment.

Trump initially doubled down on his claims, saying Musk was “disrespectful” to him and he had no desire to mend ties, warning of “serious consequences.”

However, Trump’s tone eventually changed, and he spoke positively about Musk at an event, calling him a “wonderful guy” and a “smart guy” who campaigned with him.
