Shefali Jariwala, the Kaanta Laga girl, passed away at 42 on June 27, 2025. Her last rites were performed by her husband, Parag Tyagi and family members. Amid this, Mallika Sherawat, a day after the demise of Shefali, had posted a deglam selfie video. It made a strong statement against the use of artificial cosmetic fillers and Botox. Now, reports are doing the rounds that Shefali used to undergo anti-ageing treatment, and Mallika’s clip came right days after the actress passed away. Now, Rakhi Sawant has slammed Malika for subtly taking a dig at late Shefali.

It was on June 29, 2025, when Mallika, 48, posted a selfie video where she wished her fans a good morning and shared her experience of waking up and making the video to share with them. She revealed having no makeup, filter, not brushing her hair and revealed that she shared this video so that she, with all, can say no to botox, to artificial cosmetic fillers, and yes to life, yes to a healthy way of living. The statement has not gelled well with Rakhi amid cops finding that Shefali used to use Vitamin C and Glutathione for skin lightening. Rakhi slammed Mallika and said in a selfie video:
“Kya hai yeh? Upar se Mallika Sherawat bolti hai mei natural hu botox ki wajah se Shefali ko kuch hua hai. Kya galat hai? Hum nai jante nai? Forensic report, doctor bataenge na usko ya hua tha? Mallika Sherawat tum behte ganga mei haath mat dho. Kisi ka acha nai kar sakte toh bura bhi mat karo. Khudka face batari hai oh mei toh bahut khubsurat hu. Bheege Hoth tere, pyasa dil mera, kabhi mere saath ek raat guzar. Bahut tumne raatein guzari hai. Guzar guzar ke tum America set hoh gayi bhai. Theek hai? Tum mat bolo kisi ko.”
For the unversed, Mallika in the caption of her selfie video wrote about saying no to Botox and Fillers. Instead of chasing youth with these artificial procedures, she has been nurturing it from within. Eating clean, hydration, sleeping early & exercising are some of the practices she follows and told her fans to follow the natural glow.

Did Shefali Jariwala’s anti-ageing process drugs cause her demise?
According to a source close to the Indian Express, Shefali had taken her regular pills on the night of June 27, 2025. In the afternoon, she had taken an injection shot, which was of an anti-ageing drug, reportedly. Her blood pressure then dropped significantly, and she started shivering in the night. Her family members then took her to Bellevue Multispecialty Hospital, Andheri, where she was declared dead on arrival. The report also claimed that the actress fasted the entire day because of a puja at her house, and maybe taking pills on an empty stomach may have worsened her condition. The report stated that it was between the night of June 27 and 28 that the actress suffered a cardiac arrest. According to the Mumbai Police, the autopsy was conducted at Cooper Hospital, and the cause of her demise has been kept reserved. The cause of death has not yet been clear, and hence, the Mumbai Police has filed a report of accidental death.
