When it was first conceived, The Brady Bunch was the story of a lovely lady — who was bringing up three very lovely girls — and the the story of a man named Brady — who was busy with three boys of his own. And as one of the show’s original writers revealed, it was only after the first season aired that producers realized the Brady kids, rather than their parents, were the real stars of the show.
