In a high-voltage courtroom drama, Sean “Diddy” Combs was again denied bail. Federal prosecutors leveraged Diddy’s own words, along with those of alleged victims, during the proceedings. The prosecutor read aloud texts sent to Combs by the victims, while Diddy sat silently as his second bail denial was announced. Assistant United States Attorney Emily Johnson highlighted a “longstanding pattern of abuse” in her arguments, citing a victim’s claim of being “heavily drugged” during a sexual encounter with Diddy.
