In preparation for the upcoming Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has initiated a ward-wise review campaign across Mumbai. On Friday, Mumbai BJP President and Minister Ashish Shelar announced the appointment of district-level office-bearers who will conduct detailed reviews and submit comprehensive reports.
The appointed representatives are asked to submit their findings to the Mumbai BJP office by July 7, 2025.
MLAs Atul Bhatkhalkar and Yogesh Sagar will review the North Mumbai district. The North West district will be overseen by MLAs Ameet Satam and Vidya Thakur. MLA Mihir Kotecha and former MP Manoj Kotak will lead the review in North East Mumbai, while MLAs Parag Alavani and Sanjay Upadhyay will handle the North Central district.
In South Central Mumbai, MLA Prasad Lad and former MLA Sunil Rane have been tasked with the review. Minister Mangal Prabhat Lodha and Legislative Assembly Speaker Rahul Narwekar will oversee the South Mumbai district.
In addition to the ward-wise review, Minister Shelar also announced the formation of the BJP’s Election Steering Committee for Mumbai. The 27-member committee comprises current and former MLAs, ex-corporators, and presidents of the BJP Mahila and Yuva Morcha units. This team will spearhead the party’s election strategy for the civic polls.
