Aamir Khan’s Sitaare Zameen Par, which released last week, has been receiving a steady response from audiences worldwide. Seen as a spiritual follow-up to his 2007 film Taare Zameen Par, the movie has connected with viewers for its hopeful and encouraging storyline.
Aamir Khan hosts star-studded screening of Sitaare Zameen Par for UN ambassadors in Delhi
Amidst its soaring success, Aamir Khan recently hosted a special screening of the film in Delhi for ambassadors from various countries. The event was graced by dignitaries, including Kristina Ananina, First Secretary of the Russian Embassy, Ambassador Katharina Wieser of Austria, and Member of the Lok Sabha Shashi Tharoor among others. The screening was also attended by Ajay Bijli, Founder of PVR INOX. Aamir, dressed in his signature understated style, was seen warmly interacting and posing for pictures with the guests, celebrating the global impact of storytelling through cinema.
The makers took to their social media and shared the glimpse of the screening and wrote, “Honoured and delighted to showcase our film #Sitaare Zameen Par to Dr. Shashi Tharoor and esteemed delegates. @shashitharoor”

Directed by R. S. Prasanna, who previously helmed the barrier-breaking blockbuster Shubh Mangal Saavdhan, now returns with the biggest collaboration with Aamir Khan Productions’ Sitaare Zameen Par.
Made under the banner of Aamir Khan Productions, Sitaare Zameen Par stars Aamir Khan and Genelia Deshmukh in lead roles, along with 10 rising stars. The lyrics are penned by Amitabh Bhattacharya, and the music is composed by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy. The screenplay is written by Divy Nidhi Sharma. The film is produced by Aamir Khan and Aparna Purohit, with Ravi Bhagchandka as the producer. Directed by R. S. Prasanna, the film released in theatres on 20th June, 2025.
