The buzz started shortly after reports of Vijay Varma and Tamannaah Bhatia’s breakup made headlines at the beginning of 2025. Moreover, the rumours gained momentum after the two were spotted together during the shooting of their upcoming film, Gustakh Ishq. However, Fatima, in her new interview, has put all the rumours to rest.
Fatima Shaikh clears the air around her relationship status
Fatima Sana Shaikh was recently spotted at the trailer launch of her upcoming film, Aap Jaisa Koi, where she finally cleared the air about her relationship status. The actress was directly asked during the event about her relationship status, in her reply, Fatima clarified that she is single. Since her film explores the concept of ‘equal love’, the actress explained what it means for her. She said:
“The one where two people respect each other and listen to each other’s thoughts and opinions. Both will have to make equal compromises. When you are in partnership, you work towards the relationship without losing yourself. I think that is the way to a successful relationship.”
But it was her next comment which caught everyone’s attention. When she was asked if she had found someone who fits that description in real life, the actress laughed and shared that such guys don’t exist in real life, at least not in her life. She joked that good guys only existed in films. With that statement, she put all the rumours about her possible romance with Vijay Varma to rest. In her words:
“Acche ladke hai hi nai yaar.. Koi bhi nahi hai (meri life mein) Filmon mein acche hote hai.”
Vijay Varma allegedly parted ways with Tamannaah Bhatia
Several news reports in the first half of 2025 suggested that Vijay Varma had allegedly parted ways with his long-time girlfriend, Tamannaah Bhatia. However, the duo made no comment and soon fans and news portals speculated the possible reason behind it. Later, a news report by Siasat Daily claimed that the conflict between Tamannaah and Vijay started as the actress wanted to settle down. It stated that Tamannaah was in her mid-30s and was looking ahead to getting married, while Vijay didn’t share the same thought, which became a reason for their separation. It is significant to note that none of the stars reacted to any report, and neither did they make a joint appearance after it.

On the work front, Fatima Sana Shaikh has a busy schedule ahead. She is presently promoting her upcoming film, Metro In Dino, alongside co-stars like Aditya Roy Kapur, Sara Ali Khan, Ali Fazal, Neena Gupta and Anupam Kher. The film is set to release on July 4, 2025. At the same time, the actress attended the trailer launch event of her other film, Aap Jaisa Koi, co-starring R Madhavan, which is set for a release on Netflix on July 11, 2025. In addition, Fatima has been working on another film, Gustakh Ishq, with Vijay Varma.
