Who will be the Indian Test Captain after Rohit Sharma?

As Rohit Sharma announced his retirement with an immediate effect, the team will soon be needing a replacement for the next assignment which is the five-matches test series against England, and it’s an important series for the team blue. While Jasprit Bumrah is the vice-captain, his health issues have reduced the chances for him to be in the position of the Test Captain. On the other hand, Shubman Gill is the vice-captain of ODIs, and if the reports are to be believed, he is in talks to replace Rohit as the Test Captain of India. Sources told NDTV:

“Shubman Gill is being spoken about/considered for captaincy. There will be a few more changes because this kickstarts the WTC cycle. The selectors will not go back. They are likely to look ahead.”
