Actor Jaideep Ahlawat recently expressed that although Ranbir Kapoor is a talented actor, he might not reach the same level of stardom as Shah Rukh Khan. In an interview with Lallantop, when asked about Shah Rukh Khan not being recognized by intellectuals as a great actor, Jaideep humbly referred to himself as a “chota insaan” before sharing his thoughts.

When asked about the difference between great actors and popular actors, Jaideep Ahlawat humbly said, “I’m an insignificant person to talk about these things… to judge the popularity of Shah Rukh or Ranbir Kapoor as an actor or star. I don’t believe it happened intentionally. Popularity and stardom are different things, and an actor can be a part of that.”
Jaideep also compared Ranbir Kapoor to Shah Rukh Khan, saying, “I feel Ranbir Kapoor is a wonderful, a brilliant actor. Maybe he won’t be as big as Shah Rukh Khan. Only acting didn’t make Shah Rukh Khan who he is today; the strong connection he shares with people played a huge role. It’s not necessary that you become a big star solely based on talent, even acting talent alone.”
Jaideep Ahlawat confirmed that he declined a role in the Ranbir Kapoor-starrer Ramayana. He has previously worked with Ranbir in the 2011 film Rockstar, where he played the role of Ranbir’s brother.
Fans can look forward to seeing Jaideep Ahlawat alongside Shah Rukh Khan in King, directed by Siddharth Anand. The film also features an ensemble cast including Rani Mukerji, Abhishek Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, Jackie Shroff, Anil Kapoor, Arshad Warsi, Abhay Verma, and Suhana Khan, among others.
