The tensions between India and Pakistan intensified following the Pahalgam attack on April 22, 2025. The horrifying attack that killed 26 people in Kashmir led to a rise in bitterness between the two nations. In response, Indian armed forces performed a precision strike in inhumane camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) on May 7, 2025, under the codename ‘Operation Sindoor’.

However, the aftermath of the tension was faced by the industry as well, as several films featuring Pakistani actors were shelved and many Pakistani actors’ social media accounts, including Hania, Fawad Khan, Mahira Khan, Ali Zafar, Atif Aslam and Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, were withheld in India. Amid that, Diljit’s decision to continue his project with Hania has led to a serious row, and now singer Mika Singh has also reacted to the same.

Mika Singh took to his Instagram handle on the night of June 24, 2025, and shared a story calling Diljit Dosanjh out for featuring Pakistani actress, Haina Aamir, in his upcoming film, Sardaar Ji 3. The singer called Diljit ‘irresponsible’ and cited how one’s country should always come first. Mika added that a person should ‘think twice’ before making any decisions if their country is involved. He was quoted as saying:

“Desh pehle (Country first). Guys, as we all know, the relationship between India and Pakistan isn’t going well right now. Yet some people continue to act irresponsibly. Before releasing any content that involves artists from across the border, they should think twice, especially when our nation’s dignity is involved.”

In the same post, Mika Singh further cited the example of Abir Gulaal, a romantic drama which featured Fawad Khan and Vaani Kapoor. He shared how the film was not allowed to be released in the country, and yet the message remained unclear for some people. He went on to call the singer ‘fake’. While the post didn’t take any names, it featured a picture of Diljit with confirmed who the singer was talking about. He was quoted as saying:

“There was a film featuring Fawad Khan and Vaani Kapoor that many of us opposed, and yet, some still don’t seem to get the message. What’s more shocking is that a fake singer, after doing 10 shows in India with thousands of fans buying tickets, has now disappeared, leaving fans betrayed and helpless.”
