    Search operation launched in Kishtwar to trace suspected terrorists | India News – Times of India

    JAMMU: Security forces on Wednesday launched a search operation in a remote area of J&K’s Kishtwar district following specific inputs about the presence of suspected terrorists.Officials said the joint operation launched by Army, special operations group of J&K Police and local cops in the Singhpora forest area of Chatroo morning was ongoing when reports last came in. “Security forces received information about the presence of some terrorists and immediately cordoned off the area to plug all escape routes,” said an official. However, there was no trace of the suspects till late evening.On May 22, an Army personnel had been killed in an exchange of fire with terrorists in the upper reaches of Shingpora area.Earlier, during a two-day-long gunbattle on April 11-12, the security forces had neutralised three terrorists in the Naidgam area of Chatroo-Kishtwar.
