    Doctor in Mumbai suburb declares living man dead, faces investigation | India News – Times of India

    THANE: Following an incident in which a 64-year-old man ‘came back to life’ after being declared dead by a doctor, the health department of Ulhasnagar Municipal Corporation has issued notice to Dr Prabhu Ahuja and has asked him to explain the wrong declaration of death, reports Pradeep Gupta.On Thursday, Abhiman Girdhar Tayde (64), a cancer patient, was rushed to Dr Ahuja’s Shivneri Hospital in a rickshaw. Dr Ahuja examined him outside on the rickshaw itself, and declared him dead. Tayde’s son told TOI, “After Dr Ahuja declared my father dead, we came home and started preparing for his last rites when we found that he was breathing heavily.” He was then taken to another hospital, where doctors revived him.
